Kuoppala, Are's Little Finger

ARE`S LITTLE FINGER is autobiographical and tells of the high points and losses of the author. It is a story of a chain of generations, and how its youngest member holds his grandfather`s hand by a little finger as they nap together a week before the tsunami. The breaker which hit a pradise island tears little Are from his father and crushes many dreams. This novel consists of a dialogue between a father and his daughter after the disaster. It is a story about their survival and the tremendous support given by friends, family, and total strangers. The hardships of the author are presented in a bright way with definite hope for the future. The author wishes to encourage his readers trough his own experiences by stating at the end of the novel: HOPE REMAINS.
