Reusing the Industrial past by the Tammerkoski Rapids - Discussions on the Value of Industrial Heritage

The City of Tampere in Finland has a strong industrial History. Its city centre built on the banks of Tammerkoski rapids is listed as a national heritage landscape and frequently recognized as a unique and even internationally rare instance of industrial built heritage. Tampere is keen on the future protection and maintenance of its industrial heritage. This publication contains series of essays that approach the issue of evaluation from various perspectives aiming to inspire discussion on the evaluation of industrial heritage and the criteria for good re-use practices.
