The book is a report about the two-day international "The Conscience of Europe" conference. The conference was organized and held in the Finnish Parliament Annex in Helsinki on March 18?19, 2014 by Drom Association for Creative Arts and Culture under the direction of its chairman, author and Cultural Counsellor Veijo Baltzar. The Conference was part of larger "The Conscience of Europe" project, an international series of events for reforms in European policies of multiculturalism, produced by the Drom Association during the years 2014?2015. The speakers of the Conference included Cultural Counsellor Veijo Baltzar, Former President of Finland Tarja Halonen, Former Prime Minister of Finland Paavo Lipponen, Minister of Education Jaak Aaviksoo, Estonia; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Petr Drulák, Czech Republic; Minister of State for Social Inclusion Zoltán Kovács, Hungary; State Secretary Stefan Chudoba, Slovakia; Professor Laura Kolbe, Finland; Finland?s Minister of Education Krista Kiuru; Finland?s Minister for International Development Pekka Haavisto; Professor Paul Cliteur, Netherlands; Member of Finnish Parliament Kimmo Tiilikainen, Director of Finland?s section of Amnesty International Frank Johansson, Professor Catherine Wihtol de Wenden, France; Cultural Director of Helsinki City Stuba Nikula, Member of Finnish Parliament Ilkka Kanerva, Professor Lilian Munk Rösing, Denmark and Professor Emeritus Eero Pantzar, Finland. The rapport also includes statements by young people at the conference, and texts of the proposals by Cultural Counsellor Veijo Baltzar to reform policies of multiculturalism of the European Union.
